Region Referees & Armorers

A good tournament begins and ends with good referees. To help the fencing community throughout the South, we’ve put together a list of referees that fence, live or work in our region.

The list below shows all GA Division referees that are currently “good to go” according to USFA. This list was pulled from USFA Referee Database.

If you are on this list and would like your contact info added, please email ga-fencing-webmaster@protonmail.com

what do fencing referees do?

Fencing referees serve an integral role in fencing competitions, and many referees compete in the sport themselves. Certified by the Fencing Officials Commission at different levels of advancement, they observe each bout, award touches and make sure all rules are being followed.

WHAT DO FENCING ARMORERS DO?

Certified fencing armorers repair and maintain equipment, and at tournaments inspect equipment to make sure it's safe and functional for competition. Though fencing is an extremely safe sport, the care and maintenance of equipment ensures safe and long-lasting gear.
